ChopChop Salad • The great thing about this salad, aside from the fact that it’s absolutely delicious and endlessly adaptable, is that it’s made of all different textured vegetables, which makes it great for learning how to slice, chop, and dice. Kid Recipe Tester Linnea added cheddar cheese cubes to hers. “I loved it,” she wrote in her notes, “and so did my family. They said it was very fresh and had a nice texture.”
Creamy Cucumber Salad • We often use English cucumbers, which don’t need to be peeled, in our salads, but for this one, we suggest you use a traditional cucumber, so you can practice your peeling skills. Of course you can also peel an English cucumber! Or do what our Kids Recipe Tester Amine did, and make this with small Persian cucumbers.
